GRAPHISOFT Training offers you a range of courses to assist you in realising the full potential of ArchiCAD.

Courses include:

Essential Archicad

The Essential ArchiCAD is suitable for architects, designers and builders who have no experience with ArchiCAD, as well as more experienced users who need to fill gaps in their knowledge and increase their proficiency with the software.
It covers all the commonly used functions in ArchiCAD, sufficient to submit a typical Development Application to a local Council for approval.

Essential ArchiCAD Course is conducted over 4 days

Prerequisite for this course is general computer skills*

It is strongly recommended that students complete the ArchiCAD 11 Interactive Training Guide as preparation. The material is available online via the help menu in ArchiCAD 11 or at the following link http://www.graphisoft.com/products/archicad/ac11/itg/. You may download it in full or in parts as you proceed.

Building simulation and ArchiCAD's Virtual Building Concept: ‘building the model’ rather than ‘drawing lines’ Designing with ArchiCAD using the ToolBox, Info Box and Navigator Floor plan, materials and properties tabs Layers and layer combinations Story settings and Mesh settings File structures	Relative and absolute coordinates Dragging and stretching walls and other elements Adding section lines Slabs and the slab tool Building a simple mesh Organisational features including layers and stories

Professional Archicad

The Professional training applies ArchiCAD to professional practice. Productivity, process and Quality Assurance are the focus. This course is particularly relevant for CAD managers, sole practitioners, documentation supervisors, and quality assurance managers.

	Professional Archicad Course is conducted over 4 days
	Prerequisite for this course is Essential Archicad training, or approval based on project work submitted for assessment by the trainer.

	The Professional course enables you to analyse what your practice requires and formulate a template drawing set, either in accordance with, or to establish, your office documentation standard. A complete project is built over the week, paying close attention to setups and processes to suit best practice standards.

Updgrade V10-11

For users who have completed training, or are an accomplished user, on a previous version of ArchiCAD, the upgrade training covers new features introduced in ArchiCAD version 11.

Lightworks rendering

LightWorks rendering engine is a key feature of ArchiCAD and supports long awaited capabilities like true reflections, soft shadows, ambient lights and procedural shaders (meaning textures like marble or wood can be mathematically emulated).

Indirect lights can be simulated with parametric sky and window light objects placed in the library.

Art-lantis rendering

Artlantis R allows users to quickly create high-definition renderings, virtual reality scenes and animated sequences. Enrich images with reflection, refraction and transparency effects. Interactively select finishes and apply them to any object in a 3D space.

GDL (Geometric Description Language) Essential & Professional

For those interested in sophisticated library parts – (Sydney only)
The course is the ideal starting point for understanding Graphisoft's proprietary scripting language, GDL (Geometric Description Language). It is recommended for those users who wish to expand on the possibilities presented by the construction tools and object libraries and implement the true power of ArchiCAD.

Introductory GDL Training Course is conducted over 2 days.

Prerequisite for this course is either Professional ArchiCAD or basic programming experience.
