Professional Rendering Mastering the rendering process has many benefits:Firstly, it will help you to provide better designs. Having the possibility of generating photo-realistic renders from the early stage of your design will increase your creativity and will help you to make better decisions. Going forward, it will allow you to work in partnership with your clients more effectively. Once the client understands your project better, they will in turn, be better able to express press their needs. You will then be able to provide exactly what the clients have dreamt of. You will also be able to generate those renders quickly, and you won’t be depending on someone else to do them. Finally, you will be able to start building an impressive portfolio. The DVD is split in 4 sections and contains 30 movies. Each movie has been carefully planned and edited to provide you with the best information in the minimum amount of time. We will start with an empty project and we will build everything together, step by step. The first section explains the fundamental notions that need to be clearly understood in the photo-rendering settings. We will also see how to set up the new Lightworks lights. The second section is a study on the new Lightworks material. Each material is composed by 6 different classes: Colour, Reflectance, Transparency, Displacement, Texture Space and Pipeline. Each class has a very important function, and each class contains many shaders to achieve different types of results. Most of the shaders are studied in this DVD with a real-life example of what they can be used to. The third section gives useful tricks that you’ll always need when you are doing photo-renderings. Among them, you’ll find:

Note: You need to have at least ArchiCAD 9 to have the LightWorks rendering engine. The movies were recorded with ArchiCAD 9 and 10 and are still relevant to the ArchiCAD 14 interface. Older library objects might be missing when trying to open the project files from the DVD with a more recent version of ArchiCAD, but watching the movies should be enough for you to be able to work on your own projects. |
