| Beijing Olympic TV Transmission Tower Designed with ArchiCAD |
|
 Budapest, August 8, 2008 – The Olympic TV Transmission Tower that will broadcast the signal of the Olympic Games to the world was designed by local Chinese architects in just three months to meet the final Olympic preparation rush.
According to the architects, ArchiCAD’s integrated model based workflow was vital to the completion of the entire design and documentation work of the 4299 m2 (46,000 sq ft) building in such a short period of time.

with the main goal to reach out to all architectural students
globally. The program instantly became Graphisoft’s most successful
marketing campaign ever and the results continue to strengthen. The
program has the following main components:
- Registration and free download of the education version of ArchiCAD and many complementary products
- Interactive learning program to help users who are downloading ArchiCAD learn it as fast and easily as possible
- BIM
curriculum to support university education with a complete package of a
high level conceptual overview material for seminar lectures and

With native support for IFC 2x3 (IFC 2x2 see ArchiCAD Help menu, Download v12 Goodies), and now with the updated v12 release of the gbXML addon (www.encina.co.uk ), ArchiCAD continues to reinforce its commitment to open 3D model information exchange.
ArchiCAD is ready to work with 3D energy analysis applications such as ArchiPhysik, RIUSKA, EnergyPlus, Ecotect & Green Building Studio.
So no matter what direction you take with evaluating your buildings energy analysis, you can be assured that your ArchiCAD rich 3D model is ready for action.
To export to gbXML in a nutshell:
Please refer to the gbXML Export Manual contained in the gbXML addon download, and the ArchiCAD to Ecotect manual http://download.graphisoft.com/ftp/download/ecotect/ArchiCAD_Model%20Preparation_for_Ecotect.pdf for comprehensive notes on the exchange.
1) Download and install the gbXML Addon from http://www.encina.co.uk/gbxml_export.html then move the gbXML Shipping.apx file into your ArchiCAD 12 Addon's folder.
2) Use the gbXML Automatic Zone Placement in ArchiCAD & confirm correct zone placement
3) Now you can save as gbXML ready to import into Ecotect etc
