Its atmosphere, derived from a coastal environment and an intoxicating mix of magnificent beaches, rivers, inland villages, agriculture and tourism, is unique in Australia, possibly even the world. ArchiCAD puts Sunshine Coast Regional Council in a better, more informed position to work with developers and architects, ensuring that new projects complement the flavour of the region.

Case Study Overview

Senior Urban Designer, Sam Cunningham, uses ArchiCAD 3D modelling to give him a Big Picture view of its constituency, which extends from the national park north of Noosa Heads down to the southern extremity of the region, south of Caloundra. Within the Big Picture are tiny pieces that complete the whole  details such as parks, leisure facilities, individual buildings and even additions to single dwellings. All these can impact on the Sunshine Coast’s environment, its sub-tropical ambience and liveability.
